How We Grow
Two Florida greenhouses. 365 days of sunshine. Greens that stay crisp for days, not hours.
At Sunswell Greens, we combine Florida's natural sunlight with smart hydroponic growing to bring you specialty lettuces and microgreens year-round. No cross-country trucking, no seasonal gaps, no sad salad.
Growing Fresh, Growing Right
Great greens start with how they're grown. Our hydroponic greenhouses give plants exactly what they need—pure water, precise nutrients, and plenty of Florida sun—while protecting them from weather, pests, and contamination.
Climate-Responsive Greenhouses
Natural sunlight powers our growing. Climate controls protect against Florida's heat and humidity, so quality stays consistent rain or shine.
Integrated Pest Management
Prevention first. Our greenhouses provide natural protection, so we keep treatments minimal and targeted.
90% Water Conservation
Hydroponic growing recirculates water instead of losing it to soil and runoff. That means fresher greens and a lighter footprint.
Certifications That Matter
Quality you can trust, verified by the standards that count.
Our Story
For too long, Floridians had to settle for sad, long-distance lettuce—greens shipped 2,500+ miles that wilted before you could use them.
In 2018, our founders set out to change that. After a family health scare made fresh nutrition a priority, they discovered that year-round local greens simply didn't exist in Florida. So they learned to grow them.
Today, from our two sunny hydroponic greenhouses in Lake Worth and Punta Gorda, we grow Florida's freshest specialty greens 365 days a year. Same family commitment, same care, now as Sunswell Greens.
Because we believe healthy eating should be deliciously easy—no matter what season it is.

Common Questions
Thanks so much for wanting to see where your greens grow! We'd love to show you around, but we keep our greenhouses closed to visitors to protect our food safety standards. It's one of the ways we make sure every head of lettuce that reaches you is safe and fresh.
That said, we love sharing the farm with you in other ways—follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn where we post harvest-day moments and behind-the-scenes looks at what's growing.
Great question! Hydroponic growing means our plants grow in water instead of soil. Their roots sit in nutrient-rich water while Florida sunshine does the rest.
What does that mean for you? Cleaner greens (no dirt to wash off), consistent quality year-round, and lettuce that stays fresh longer in your fridge. We also use 90% less water than traditional farming—so it's good for your salad and good for the planet.
We hear this one sometimes! Here's how we see it: our plants are real. Our farmers are real. And the Florida sun that grows our greens? Definitely real. Soil is one way to deliver nutrients to plants—water is another. Our hydroponic greenhouses let us grow in water while using natural sunlight, which means we get the best of both worlds: the taste and nutrition of sun-grown produce with the consistency and food safety of controlled growing.
At the end of the day, we're farmers who happen to grow in water instead of dirt. And those greens on your plate? They're as real as it gets.
We use an integrated pest management approach, which means we only treat when absolutely necessary—and we start with prevention first.
When we do need to treat, most of what we use is OMRI-certified (that's the organic standard). Our greenhouses give us a lot of natural protection, so we keep treatments to a minimum while keeping your greens safe and healthy.
